Hair Transplant or Hair Restoration is the only effective way to correct baldness at the moment. Male pattern baldness is very common and has long been considered an unsolvable problem. About half of the male population of 20 to 60 years of age, to one degree or another, suffers from baldness. In the past few years, cases of baldness (Androgenetic Alopecia) have become more frequent. This type of baldness is inherent in women. The solution to the problem of androgenic type of baldness is a hair transplant. Alternative options are often ineffective, including medications.
A Hair Transplant solves not only the problems of people suffering from baldness. A hair transplant could be used for:-
- natural cause – hereditary baldness can be corrected,
- hiding scars,
- Hiding burns or injuries,
- Covering up unsuccessful operations, including face lifting (which has become very popular today),
- or just someone who wants to restore the density of hair on the head.
It can also cover the front parts, such as moustache, eyebrows or beard, after depilation, tattooing, or certain diseases.
What is a Hair Transplant?
Hair Transplantation is a surgery that removes hair follicles from one part of the body to another. Hair is taken from the ‘donor area’, to a bald/balding part of the body known as the ‘recipient area’. The technique is used to treat male and female baldness.
It is a minimally invasive procedure. Grafts containing hair follicles that are genetically resistant to balding are transplanted to the bald scalp. Hair transplantation can also be used to regrow:-
- beard and moustaches,
- chest hair,
- as well as to fill in scars caused by accidents or surgery.
Hair restoration includes removing small pieces of hair-bearing scalp from a donor area. We then use them as grafts to be relocated to a bald or thinning area of the scalp.
What is Graft?
The problem of baldness is quite common, especially among men. The problem of hair loss is rarely completely hopeless. It is solved by having a hair transplant using grafts of the patient’s hair.
A graft is a living tissue of the scalp with its hair follicles. One transplant graft includes from 1 to 4 follicles. A graft is used for hair transplantation in problem (bald) areas.
When follicles are removed from the donor zone, they remain intact and their anatomical and physiological properties do not change. After transplantation, they continue to work as usual and normal hair grows from them. This property allows you to implement the only 100% effective way to treat alopecia.
Therefore, procedures using grafts are performed for:
- Androgenic alopecia;
- High front hairline;
- Post-traumatic alopecia due to injuries, burns, etc.
